July 16th, 2017 Fundraiser Golf Tournament and Live Auction

Thank you to all who participated in the planning, setup, managing, and execution of the 21st Annual BBVGC weekend fundraiser. Special thanks to Mike Kent who was the auctioneer for the Sunday live auction and his assistants, Herb Beitel, Bob Simpson, and Landon Lee who applied a little pressure with a treasure chest activity.

We would also like to thank all who attended the auction, bid, and won items such as golf equipment, golf outings, salmon fishing, gourmet meals, wine tastings, vacation accommodations, and special classes donated by club members and other community members. The results of the silent and live auctions brought in the most money of any Golf Club fundraiser to date! These funds will be used for continued improvements to the facility and will enhance the junior golf program.

Everyone enjoyed Mike Kent’s auctioneering skills, which not only kept the program moving at a fast pace, but also provided loads of entertainment for bidders and non-bidders alike.

On Saturday, July 15th, 53 members played in the Fundraiser Golf Tournament. Everyone enjoyed the challenging pin locations by those who paid to select the pin locations.

The tournament included a few side games: closest to the pin on four holes, longest drive on hole 9, and a lofted pitch shot on hole 19.

Sunday, Steve Brand and Bill Quick created a five-hole putting contest on the practice green, and a pitching contest into a barrel from three locations.

Those playing couldn’t stop with just one round; many rounds of tickets were sold and winners emerged.
